Flexible Polyp Snare

Nonampullary duodenal adenomas can undergo malignant transformation, making endoscopic resection, often by hot snare (HSP) or cold snare polypectomy (CSP).
Flexible polyp snare was also associated with the shortest resection and overall removal time (both P < .0001). Despite these findings, the ability to achieve en bloc resection was lowest for cold snare polypectomy in comparison with other techniques, with the highest rate of en bloc resection achieved by use of a hot EMR technique.
Flexible polyp snare is not inferior to hot snare techniques for the resection of 6- to 15-mm non pedunculated colon polyps. Further non inferiority studies, stratified by lesion size and with standardized tools, may help to better elucidate an optimal or preferred strategy for resection of non pedunculated colorectal polyps.
